For the foreseeable future, we’re betting big on neutrals. Our editors on both coasts are talking about how it’s the effortless beiges, nudes, and charcoals of the world that make us feel like our coolest, most polished selves. Whether that means low-key monochromatic dressing or an accessible approach to animal print (did you get the memo about snakeskin and tortoiseshell?), there are countless ways to incorporate the neutral trend into your F/W wardrobe. Inspired by Burberry’s essential new neutral eyewear collection, three Who What Wear editors are weighing in on the color trend they’re most excited about this season—and offering up a heavy dose of styling ideas. Would you expect anything less? Click to explore this season's key neutral shades.
All-black has always been my thing, so you better believe I'm excited that it's a major trend this season. The forever classic is a surefire way to feel like the chicest person in the room, and a pair of blacked-out eyewear is just the cherry on top. I always go for a more oval frame for a vintage effect, but it's also a great style to wear when you have accentuated cheekbones like I do. I'll be wearing these with a black leather wrap skirt, a black turtleneck, and a pair of strappy sandals.

Classic (but definitely not boring) style is trending hard for fall, and even though it is a classic, tortoiseshell feels oddly more current to me now than it ever has. It has a timeless quality to it, as if it’s a rare vintage find or an heirloom your grandmother saved specifically for you, but it never feels dated. Incorporating both black and brown, it’s wildly easy to style, and I plan to double down on my classic approach by styling tortoiseshell eyewear alongside chunky gold jewelry and camel tones. It’s an elevated approach to fall style that I can still
wear years from now.
Neutral Territory
Green is a big fat trend for 2019, and I'm particularly into lots of olive for fall. It's super versatile, you can wear it like a neutral, but it just feels that much more intentional without being attention-seeking. It's chic in a chill way. Since tonal outfits are very much still a thing,
I love a head-to-toe look. The key is making sure you play with textures. Maybe some vegan-leather, relaxed-fit pants paired with a super-soft, chunky sweater but styled up to feel polished
by adding cool matte eyewear and a structured mock-croc bag. Olive is so good with gold jewelry a nd creamy footwear, perhaps a utility boot with
lots of tread, or an easy low heel, even
a sneaker… Can you picture it?
